A long-time client of UnityECM and ScansAmerica, the City of Alexandria jumps back on board with a large special scanning project. Nearly five years ago, Alexandria put its trust in Laserfiche to help manage the city’s document and content management needs.
Also, over the past five years, files have been piling up in the city’s Codes Administration, Transportation and Environmental Services and Planning and Zoning departments. Getting the information out of the office will free up more space and allow them to manage their documents more effectively. So, they decided once again to reach out to a company they trust for their scanning needs, ScansAmerica.
All of these departments have an assortment of outdated documents stored away that need to be made accessible to the public. These included: microfilm, 8x11 prints, large format files and aperture cards. Instead of going to individual companies to get the different documents scanned they contacted us. ScansAmerica has always been ready for special projects and we are equipped with a multitude of scanning devices to meet the needs of any company.
Luckily, the City of Alexandria has already invested in our Laserfiche products. Once all of their files are scanned the documents will automatically integrate into the city’s Laserfiche Repository where they can once again be easily accessed.
These scanning solutions have been implemented throughout many other large cities as well; such as Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Loudoun County, Fairfax and various other localities.
