The Virginia Beach HR department decided that it was time for a change. Years’ worth of employee records that were being stored as paper files were taking too much time and energy to maintain.
Records had to be manually pulled off large storage shelves every time they received a request for documentation. The solution: ScansAmerica!
The project was a success. The documents were scanned and loaded into the department's Laserfiche Enterprise Content Management System. Several points of metadata were collected from each file for easy searching. Now, instead of reaching for a paper record, each record can be accessed, shared, and stored with ease. Not to mention, the space required to store the documents is now free to be better utilized!
